Recently, Uncle Eric came across the book "My Junior and Her Liquid Courage" on 18Kami, triggering memories of his time working in Japan over a decade ago.

That year, Uncle Eric had just finished over a year of unemployment and joined a well-known medium-sized company. Coincidentally, his former university junior, Haruna, became his mentor.

Uncle Eric vividly recalls Haruna's face, as cold and gloomy as the female protagonist in a manga. Guiding me as a senior, she seemed like an unmeltable millennium ice, seriously.

Just when Uncle Eric thought his relationship with Haruna would remain distant, an unexpected event occurred. One evening, while working late (a common practice in Japanese corporate culture), and worrying about missing the last train, he coincidentally encountered Haruna, who had also missed her train, at a convenience store.

Seeing her expressionless face, sitting alone in the convenience store, flipping through a manga, Uncle Eric didn't hesitate for long outside the store. Taking a deep breath, he walked in. Pretending to buy a coffee, he greeted her and suggested that since both of them had missed the train, why not go somewhere to grab a bite together.

Uncle Eric expected a cruel rejection, but Haruna's expression seemed to soften a bit with the warmth of the coffee. Her lips, no longer as icy, agreed to the proposal.

They found a late-night izakaya to have drinks and food. After a few drinks, the ice on Haruna's face melted away. The silence and reticence disappeared, revealing a very talkative girl. Just like the meaning of her name in Japanese, Haruna transformed into a truly warm girl, much like the sun.

That night, they didn't make love; instead, they stayed at the izakaya until late and then found a family restaurant to rest until morning. After that night, their relationship improved. Although Haruna remained serious at work, privately they frequently arranged outings to various places and restaurant dates, until a certain hot spring trip...
