Palworld - Rediscover passion for gaming

174 0

"Palworld," despite facing controversy due to its striking similarities to Pokémon since its release, has garnered widespread acclaim for its gameplay. Not only did it secure the top spot on Steam's most played games list, but it consistently boasts a player count exceeding one million online. Recently, on the Reddit platform, a father of three children shared how "Palworld" reignited his passion for gaming.

A 31-year-old father from abroad mentioned that "Palworld" helped him rediscover his love for gaming and expressed dissatisfaction with modern AAA games. In a Reddit forum, a user named Different-Ad-3814 shared his experience of rekindling his enthusiasm for gaming through "Palworld," describing it as a return to the feeling of playing Gameboy for the first time during childhood.

He stated, "I am a 31-year-old father of three, working from 9 to 5 every day, so I may only have 2 to 3 evenings a week to play games for a few hours. While many modern AAA games receive high praise, I find it hard to immerse myself in them. However, 'Palworld' has brought back the excitement of playing Gameboy Color on Christmas morning when I was a kid. I really want to salute the development team for bringing back the purity and charm that modern games have lost."

Many other users on the platform expressed agreement with comments such as Murtaghthewizard's: "Most games feel like a job, logging in every day for rewards, completing tasks for battle passes, completing challenges for stickers, whereas 'Palworld' seems to be made just for people to enjoy the game."

It's undeniable that there's a prevailing sentiment where modern game developers introduce services like battle passes to ensure daily logins and increase revenue. Unwittingly, players find themselves obligated to open the game every day and complete those daily tasks.

Some users shared similar sentiments, with comments like, "I'm over 40, working over 40 hours a week, with children. Most games I don't have time to play, but I manage to spend a few hours playing this game," and "I'm 32 with a child, one of them being a baby. I don't have much time on the computer, so I cherish it a lot and don't want to waste it on things I don't like. The need to open my computer has decreased recently, but now finding a reason to play games again is just fantastic. I hardly play AAA games now."

The success of "Palworld," besides its appealing gameplay, is attributed to its affordable price.
